School of TCM Launches the Nanqiang Xinglin Lecture Series
The School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) launched the inaugural Nanqiang Xinglin Lecture Series (南强杏林讲座) on 1 July 2026 at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM).The first lecture, titled “Exploring the Academic Concept of Yang Activation Through Gui Zhi Tang” (从桂枝汤探讨通阳学术思想), was delivered by Prof. Dr Chen Shaodong, Dean of the School of TCM. The lecture aimed to promote the inheritance of TCM classics and strengthen academic exchange among lecturers and students.
"Unity of the Five Elements, Journeying the Medical Path Together” TCM Camp Held
The “Unity of the Five Elements, Journeying the Medical Path Together” two-day-one-night Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Camp, organized by the School of Traditional Chinese Medicine Student Union (TCMSU), was successfully held from 16 to 17 May 2026.
TCM Students Advance Clinical Competence Through Yunnan Internship
In March 2026, 25 year-5 students from the School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (STCM), Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM), completed their clinical internship at the Yunnan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
STCM Hosts Third Mobility Programme with Yunnan University of Chinese Medicine
The School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (STCM) recently completed its third mobility programme in collaboration with students from Yunnan University of Chinese Medicine (YUCM). The programme welcomed two undergraduate students for a six-week period (7 November 2025 – 27 December 2025) and four postgraduate students for eleven weeks (7 November 2025 – 24 January 2026), offering them a comprehensive introduction to TCM education and practice in Malaysia.
The 9th White Coat Ceremony Held for TCM Students
On 24 January 2026, the School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (STCM) at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) held its 9th White Coat Ceremony for 18 students from the 2022/02 and 2022/04 intakes, marking a significant milestone in their professional education journey.
XMUM Team Excels in the 3rd China "Huangdi Neijing" Knowledge Competition (Regional Round)
A team of four from Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) - Lim Jie Yi, Chia Yit Ping, Tay An Yen, and Teh Shu Wei - won Third Prize at the Eastern Regional Competition of the 3rd China "Huangdi Neijing" Knowledge Competition, which was held at Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from 23 to 24 December 2025.
