From 13 to 14 May 2026, the School of Computing and Data Science (SCDS), Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM), welcomed its Honorary Professor, Prof. Dr. Xu Rongsheng, for a two-day academic visit featuring a public talk and faculty engagement activities. A highlight of the visit was his talk, "Cybersecurity in the AI Era", which drew students and staff eager to gain insights into the evolving relationship between artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity.
XMUM Teams Shine in 2026 CCPC Series Contests
In May and June 2026, students from Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) achieved a major breakthrough in competitive programming by winning one gold medal and three bronze medals at multiple China Collegiate Programming Contest (CCPC) National Invitational contests. This marks the first time XMUM students have received awards in CCPC series.
