Biography
Dr. Shun Seng Ong is a Lecturer at the School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Xiamen University Malaysia. He received his PhD from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine and his Master’s degree in Acupuncture, Moxibustion and Tuina from Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Dr. Ong's research centres on real-world clinical studies of acupuncture, drawing on the systematic mining and analysis of clinical records to examine acupoint selection patterns, treatment protocols, and clinical outcomes, with the aim of generating evidence on treatment effectiveness to support clinical decision-making. His work also extends to network pharmacology and bioinformatics analysis, applying computational approaches to elucidate the mechanisms and target pathways underlying herbal formulae, as well as the compilation and data mining of classical TCM literature.
