X-NERGY Sports Carnival 2026 Brings Together Over 1,000 Students
Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) hosted the X-NERGY Sports Carnival 2026 from 2 June to 2 July, bringing together more than 1,000 students for the university’s eighth annual Sports Month.

Organised by X-NERGY, the month-long inter-house sporting carnival featured 12 sporting events: Ultimate Frisbee, Volleyball, Dodgeball, Tennis, Badminton, Track and Field, Basketball, Swimming, Table Tennis, Chess, Pickleball and E-Sports. Students from different schools and faculties represented the four Colour Houses (Red, Yellow, Blue and Green) throughout the competitions.
The carnival began with an Opening Ceremony featuring a torch relay, student performances, a bazaar and a fireworks display. Over the following four weeks, students competed in individual and team events to earn points for their respective Colour Houses.
Green House emerged as the overall champion with 1,790 points, followed by Blue House with 1,490 points, Yellow House with 1,240 points and Red House with 510 points.

The Closing Ceremony recognised three outstanding athletes with the Most Valuable Player (MVP) Awards.
Heng Chin Seng (COS2409027) of Blue House won championships in Ultimate Frisbee, the Men's 100m, 200m and 400m, Men's Long Jump and the 4×100m Mixed Relay, as well as first runner-up in the 4×400m Mixed Relay.
Tasha Chin Ai Jia (COS2404293), also from Blue House, won championships in Ultimate Frisbee, the Women's 100m, 200m and 400m, Women's Long Jump and the 4×100m Mixed Relay, and finished first runner-up in the 4×400m Mixed Relay.
Khor Xiao En (ECM2409013) of Green House won championships in the Women's 1500m, 3000m and 5000m, Badminton, the 4×100m Women's Relay and the 4×400m Mixed Relay, and finished first runner-up in the Women's 200m.
The carnival concluded with the presentation of medals, trophies and the overall Colour House Championship trophy.
