"Xcelerate 2026", a campus run event, was held at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) on 20 June 2026, as part of its 10th Anniversary celebrations.

Co-hosted by the XMUM Student Council and the Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) Office, the event brought together 270 participants at the University's Track and Field.

The event opened with a performance by the XMUM Cheerleading Club, followed by welcoming remarks from representatives of the ECA Office and event sponsor EasyUni. Participants also took part in a Zumba warm-up led by the XMUM Dance Club before the races began.

The run featured 3km, 5km, and 10km categories, catering to participants of different fitness levels. Route marshals were stationed along the routes to ensure participants' safety and smooth race operations. The event also featured student bazaars and exhibition booths, offering participants additional opportunities for interaction beyond the race.

During the Closing Ceremony, trophies were presented to the top three male and top three female finishers in the competitive 10km category, followed by a lucky draw. Organising Chairperson Lim Zhi En delivered the closing speech.

“Watching the campus community connect and cheer one another across the finish line was the true highlight,” said Lim Zhi En, Organising Chairperson of Xcelerate 2026.
